UNEARTHED

Director:  Peter Yaxley

Screenwriter: Peter Yaxley

Genre: Crime Fiction

Award winner, “Unearthed” is a murder mystery by Peter Yaxley.   An example of contemporary film fare, but with lush imagery and cerebral themes. Composer Jennifer Chastre provides a new and intriguing film score.

Unearthed is also notable for the last film appearance of Lucky Grills (Bluey) (Bargearse).

Maxine (Sara Jones), a new rail worker at the Tenterfield railway station, discovers human remains trackside. Newly commissioned Constable Bilsen (Samuel Moss) prompts a murder investigation under the nose of Sergeant Linda Harrison (Michelle Middlemiss). Inspector Jasper Bishop (Anthony Jaeger) is seconded to work undercover at the railway station museum to investigate the grizzly discovery.

Another grave finding and a fresh murder complicate Bishop’s investigation as intertwining family jealousy and rivalries are unearthed, spiraling previous stable relationships into an unpredictable conclusion in mysterious circumstances.

A country town never looked so inviting. Come with Joey Kingman (star of 'Unearthed') as she takes us on a refreshing down to earth Tour of Tenterfield in N.S.W.

Nestled in the New England District, Tenterfield is highlighted with informative interviews from town locals, including Geoff Newman, (another star of 'Unearthed') a real life worker with the Tenterfield Railways Preservation Society. We learn about the Tenterfield Railway Museum, its historic past and you will see dramatic ole time footage of the railway from that time.

Joey takes us through the School of Arts, the Saddler Shop and other wonderful, well preserved architecture, like the Court House. You will also enjoy a guided tour of the Mysterious (little known) Underground Safe.

For the adventurous, we visit bushranger Captain Lightfoot's secret hideaway from the colonial days.

Director Peter Yaxley, is interviewed, describing working on the film in Tenterfield, and we see some behind the scenes footage, before ending with a sample of the "Unearthed" movie, starring Aussie Icon, Mr. Lucky Grills, in his final screen role, filmed on Location in Tenterfield.

Script:  Professor Robert Pope

Production : Peter Yaxley

Genre:  Informative - Science Art Renaissance

July 2011  Science Art Research Centre Headquarters, at Uki Castle

Professor Robert Pope staged an intimate meeting of parties, looking to understand the changing world in which we live.

Professor Pope takes you on a chronological journey through time on the world stage, summarizing historic points in the development of mankind, achievements in science, and the development of religions, Government, and the injustice and dishonesty of those in power upon the general public. Observe how this affected society, the way we lived and now have to endure to this day.

Significant evidence has never been offered or perhaps hidden and never disclosed to the general public. We have not been allowed the insight to understand the wrong that is being committed on all of us and on this planet. The general population will be horrified to learn the truth, but it needs to be discussed. The answer starts with an understanding of the problem, followed by rational unbiased discussion on lifestyles and the future of the planet as we know it, and how we must learn to live it.

We all need to take stack of the situation, to learn and understand, be rational, but most importantly, be humane in what we expect of one another as human beings, as we work together to map out an algorithm for Human Survival into the future.

Life Time

A Short Film

Written Produced and Directed by Peter Yaxley

My historic first fim project made with the Queensland of Film and Television. Originally proposed as an entry for a Trop Film Festival, the national short film festival for film entries of 7 minutes and under. Every year, the festival required a theme to be incorporated in the film, to prove it was recently made, and done within a designated time for entry. The theme that year was 'Bubble.'

'Life Time' subsequently was not entered as I could not justify cutting the required 3 minutes from the footage to enter it for the festival. I felt this would compromise the pacing of the storyline and outcome.

Assisted by friends and actors from the film school, 'Life Time' was great fun to make and a tremendous introduction into the world of film making. Many of the actors involved with the short film followed me to Tenterfield, when I later proposed the making of a full length feature.

Sincere thanks to Travis Trewin, my film school teacher of the day, who sugested and co-ordinated the film crew at the time.

I hope you will enjoy the short film too.
